Interior design trends shaping modern homes
The biggest shift in recent interiors is warmth. Cool, stark spaces are giving way to warm minimalism: soft plaster tones, natural wood, sage and clay accents, and tactile textiles.
Layered lighting is replacing the single ceiling fixture — ambient, task and accent light working together to change a room's mood through the day.
And multi-functionality is everywhere, as homes double as offices and studios. Furniture and joinery now earn their keep by doing more than one job.
